Christmas Shopping

That time of year is just around the corner and the Pentucket Community can hardly wait. Christmas time, known to be one of the most enjoyable and happiest times of the year, is only two months away. This time of year brings out the best in people to get to give gifts, be in the holiday spirit, and just be merry. This time of year also brings out the crazy in people and that stressed is caused by two words, Christmas shopping. The hectic stress of running throughout the mall trying to find just the perfect gift for your loved ones at a reasonable price is definitely overwhelming. This season brings loads of stress and lots of empty wallets by the end of the season.

After interviewing some of the students who attend Pentucket I came to realize that all thoughts about this topic seem to be similar. Julia Tocci, a Pentucket freshman, told me that Christmas is her all time favorite season and receiving gifts is just as fun. “Christmas can be stressful sometimes but it is always a happy time of year,” Julia Tocci told me. Since Julia doesn’t have a job, and is just given money it isn’t that stressful all the time.

Other students who are older and earn their own money may take Christmas shopping more seriously. Mindy Monto, a Pentucket senior, tells me that Christmas shopping is hard when it’s your money that you’re dealing with. “I work for my own money and I hate to just spend it on everything for Christmas” Mindy told me. She tells me that her family is really hard to buy for, thus making Christmas shopping much harder for her. Mindy also says it can be very overwhelming with all the possibilities of gifts and having a limit on how much to spend.

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year but it can also be titled as the most stressful. Overall people love Christmas and being able to spend time with your family and loved ones another is worth all the stress.
