Day of Community Service
To almost all underclassmen, the school on Monday felt like there was something missing …. and there was. On Monday, May 19th all Pentucket seniors had a day off from the regular rigors of high school. Instead they were helping out their community.
The community service ranged from cleaning fire trucks and cop cars, to lugging logs from behind the Dr. John C. Page Elementary School.
Noah Curtin, one of the seniors who took part in cleaning the Page school claimed, “It was awful” later adding the he had fun at Action Cove, a park located off Bachelor Street in West Newbury. Once all seniors were done with whatever community service projects they were involved in, they were all rewarded for their hard work and effort, and bussed down to the local park to have some fun.
