Many students at Pentucket High School get involved with our school every day. Getting involved with the school helps students feel like they are a part of a community and enjoy their high school experience.

Why Become Involved?
Mrs. Ward, a teacher at Pentucket High School, believes that becoming involved with our school is very important and has many benefits. She says, “When you’re involved in your school you have a voice in what happens and it gives you a really good feeling to know that you are a part of something. It is great for your mental health, meeting other people, and hearing other ideas.”
How To Get Involved
There are many ways to become involved with our school. These include joining a sports team, participating in a school club, and going to school events.
Kate Sweeney, a student at Pentucket High School and a member of the student council, says that being a part of the student council has benefited her high school experience greatly. “Being a part of the student council has helped me make new friends and have an input in our school.”
What will people think of you?
Some people think that joining school clubs or student council is embarrassing but that is certainly not the case. A student at Pentucket High School who would like to remain anonymous said, “When I was in middle school I thought that it was embarrassing if you were a part of a school club. But when I got to high school and joined a club, I realized that it is not embarrassing and it actually can be very beneficial.”
As a Pentucket student who is in student council, I first thought that it would be embarrassing to join. But now I know that it is not embarrassing and really helps me. I know what school events will be like, what dress up days are, and what is happening all around our school.
