West Newbury Pizza Co. is a restaurant located in West Newbury, Massachusetts near the town food mart. This restaurant serves pizza, calzones, subs, wraps, salads, appetizers, and even offers gluten free options. People can order inside, by takeout, or delivery.
To get a first hand account of the quality of the food, I would have to try it out for myself. This is why I decided to order a bunch of menu items, brought them home and taste tested them to see what would be a good recommendation for people to order or not. What I ordered was a steak and cheese, BLT, and a small cheese pizza. It was all to my liking, especially the steak and cheese which was toasted and filled to the brim with steak and not to mention melted cheese.
To help along the process, a survey was sent out to the student body of Pentucket High School to see who had been there and who had not. Questions included in the survey varied from rating the different types of food and the overall service. From the responses received, most of the students rated the restaurants almost four stars.
In addition to the survey, I was able to interview members of the Pentucket community to get their perspectives about the restaurant. Dr. B, the superintendent of the Pentucket School District, commented, “Growing up, we loved being able to get our pizza from what was The West Newbury House of Pizza. From a local perspective, it was so good and whenever we went to pick it up, they had a jukebox where you could play music. Overall, a great experience. What I love about the West Newbury Pizza Company is that they work so incredibly hard and provide great food. It is not common to have a small, affordable place to go and buy sandwiches, salads, and pizza, but they are able to do it, and it just continues to be a staple in the community.”
Another administrator I interviewed was Mr. Bates, one of the vice principals of the Pentucket Middle-High School. He commented, “The food is delicious. With inflation, prices are the same as everywhere else. The service is good and the place is convenient because it’s one of the closest to school.”
Lastly, I interviewed students William Dwyer and Dillon Burrier, both freshman at Pentucket High School. Dwyer said, “I tried the cheese pizza, I really enjoyed it and the food was good. The prices are not too shabby but the quality of the food is worth the price. Found the staff welcoming and the environment was cozy. But the convenience isn’t the closest place from Pentucket, but if you wanna get a good meal it’s worth going there.”
Burrier said, “The food is good. I find that it’s an affordable place and the service is okay. I find it convenient because you know, it’s in the center of West Newbury.”
To sum up, here’s what the people I interviewed think about the restaurant.

- Some people find it affordable and some find it the same as any other ordinary restaurant.
- It is convenient but can be a little ways away from Pentucket
- Some people find the service great and some find it OK.
In my opinion, I find the food delicious. Their pizza is cheesy and slightly sweet and crunchy, their BLT crispy and juicy, and their steak and cheese sub has a bold, fresh flavor. I find the restaurant somewhat affordable, it is the same as every restaurant with their pricing. The convenience is not too bad but if you were in a rush after school, it would be a tasty spot to go if you are hungry. The service is welcoming with polite people.
Overall, I think the West Newbury Pizza Co is a good place to eat. The food is fresh and warm, and it will definitely satisfy your hunger in many ways. It is a scrumptious spot if you are hungry and want something tasty to eat.
