B’s First Game Recap
Boston Bruins win their home opener with a score of 3-1, against the tough Tampa Bay Lightning team. The Bruins got off to a good start with a penalty shot goal scored by Chris Kelly, on his first ever career penalty shot attempt. In the second period, Tampa tied it up, but a determined Bruins team regained the lead with a goal scored by power forward Milan Lucic, assisted by David Krejci. Late in the third, forward Patrice Begeron got a shorthanded goal, unassisted. Goaltender Tuuka Rask played an outstanding game facing 33 shots, and allowing 1 goal. Final score Bruins 3, Tampa 1.
