Last week Pentucket Junior AP History and AP English students visit Walden Pond and the Old Manse in Concord, MA. Students are learning about Puritanism and Transcendentalism, ideas that were created in the Massachusetts colony over 150 years ago. Visiting this location showed students where Henry David Thoreau, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Ralph Waldo Emerson once resided.
