Rhode Island Comic Con Review
December 8, 2016
On November 12th, I attended Rhode Island Comic Con in Providence. It was held at both the Dunkin Donuts Center and the Rhode Island Convention Center. Popular celebrity guests included Millie Bobby Brown, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Gal Gadot, Stan Lee and more.
Well before the convention, I knew I wanted to meet Nolan North. Nolan North played the main character in the video game series, “Uncharted”. In addition to meeting Nolan North, I was planning on meeting either Alexandra Breckenridge or Millie Bobby Brown. Alexandra Breckenridge played a character named Jessie on “The Walking Dead” and Millie Bobby Brown played Eleven in the Netflix series, “Stranger Things.”
When we first got to the convention, we arrived in the Dunkin Donuts Center. It was extremely crowded. We finally found a security guard to ask how to get to the convention center. In the convention center, we found Nolan North. I brought two “Uncharted” games for him to sign: “Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection,” and “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.” After a long wait to meet Nolan North, it was finally worth it. I took a picture with him and only got my copy of “The Nathan Drake Collection” signed because they were charging $30 for each autograph as opposed to $30 for as many autographs as you want. It added up to $50 for the $20 photo and the $30 autograph. He asked me which “Uncharted” game is my favorite and I told him that “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” is my favorite, and he told me that “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” is his favorite.

After meeting Nolan North, I decided to meet Alexandra Breckenridge. One reason I decided to meet her instead of Millie Bobby Brown is because Millie Bobby Brown was not doing photos at her photos at her booth. She was only doing professional photo ops. Professional photo ops are very quick, so I didn’t want to get one because I had never gotten one before so I didn’t know if there’d be time to shake the celebrity’s hand. I took selfies with Alexandra Breckenridge and it costed $40. (I didn’t get an autograph.)
Me and Alexandra Breckenridge
After meeting Nolan North and Alexandra Breckenridge, we watched the “Stranger Things” panel with Millie Bobby Brown. Millie Bobby Brown talked about what it was like filming certain scenes, what it’s like going to school for her and she even sang for us (one of her hobbies).
After the “Stranger Things” panel, we watched “The Walking Dead” panel. “The Walking Dead” panel was supposed to include Michael Cudlitz (whom I’ve met twice before), Josh McDermitt, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jeremy Palko, and Alexandra Breckenridge. For some reason, Alexandra Breckenridge never showed up. At “The Walking Dead” panel, they talked about what it was like filming certain scenes, memories from the set, and Michael Cudlitz talked about some of his favorite lines (his character was known for having good lines).
The convention was definitely worth attending, especially if you’re someone who wants to be more involved in your entertainment. It’s also worth it if you want to be able to discuss your entertainment with celebrities that you like. That is what my day was like at Rhode Island Comic Con
