Home At Last
I wish to turn my scars into stars
To see the pain become light
To trace constellations with my finger
So that I can say I caressed the cosmos
I am far
So far
From the world below
And the suffering that consumed me
I am soaring through the magic that made me
The stardust
The energy
The light
I have returned home at last
I whisper secrets to the universe
A lonely soul adrift in this expanse
Longing for a voice in the silence
I dance amongst the sea of stars
No longer numb to this feeling of life
Untethered to my vessel
Sailing my ship through the infinite
Yet lost in the fleeting
Allowing my fingertips to kiss the stars
Thank you
My body is everything
Unfolding before me

this is a beautiful poem with a ton of emotion behind it. The word choice is wonderful too, the usage of words like “vessel” adds to the otherworldly feeling. The theme of space is also incredible and really fits this poem.
