Casey was Vice President of Pentucket Students Against Gun Violence (PSAGV) during her junior and senior years, and spoke on a panel at Salem State as a youth activist. Casey was also on the National Honors Society (NHS) Leadership Council during her senior year. She participated in the theater program with multiple minor roles throughout all four years. Through Pentucket Arts, Casey painted a small mural in Newburyport. As a senior, Casey worked at Panera Bread and wrote for the Valley Patriot as an intern. Casey also went on a service trip to Thailand.
Post graduation, Casey is attending the University of Denver as a member of the Honors Program, and as a member of the International LLC. She will be double majoring in Political Science and Criminology, and possibly minoring in Computer Science. After college, she would like to either go on to law school or police work.
Casey’s favorite teacher was Mr. Siegfried, although she says that there are many teachers who mean a lot to her. “He was my teacher in freshman year and is the advisor for PSAGV. He helped me to become interested in politics and law and has given me recommendation letters whenever I needed them,” Casey said.
