Throughout the halls of gaming over the past decade there has been fighting between people who support Xbox and those who support Playstation. People are very set in their beliefs about what they do and don’t like.

Amber Richard is a perfect person to question on this debate because she has had both the Xbox and Playstation, stating: “I really hate Microsoft a lot.” Microsoft is the company behind the Xbox. People will make many things up on the internet about either console to get their preferred console ahead. As a result, people were hearing many false rumors surrounding the new consoles: the Xbox One and the Playstation 4. One particular rumor was that Microsoft was planning to spy on people through the Xbox one. There was also a rumor that pre-owned games would not be available on the Xbox one. However there are many benefits to the Xbox one and the Playstation 4, but over the years the fighting over the systems has gotten out of hand. Many friendships have been destroyed or almost lost over this discussion. It is really quite sad and the fighting should stop.

A majority of the games are on both systems so kids who play Xbox and Playstation typically play the same games. For instance, Call of Duty and Battlefield are for both Xbox and Playstation. People are playing the same games only with a different tool. The gamers usually all love the same games and movies so they are essentially the same. Again, the only difference is the console. All gamers should unite and work together as to keep the needless arguing down.

Max Walsh is a big fan of Playstation. He no longer likes Xbox because if you want to play online, they make you pay a fee per month. However Xbox gives you better exclusives, but Playstation will allegedly start requiring a fee as well to play.

No one remembers how this debate started, but it was probably started by Microsoft and Sony in an effort to promote their consoles. It was a smart idea to begin with but has since spiraled out of control.
