The Aftermath of Christmas Break

Coming back from Christmas vacation is the most stressful time of year.

Why you ask??

I think it is mutually agreed that everyone loves Christmas break because you get two weeks off from school filled with presents, sleeping in, tasty food, and Christmas/New Year’s parties.

Overall it’s a pretty good time! But when you get back it’s a different story….

To start off, you are plagued with a ton of work. Remember those books you had to read? The college work you still haven’t completed? The paper you haven’t written? Yeah…. Me neither.

But that’s not even the worst part of it all because there is the whole social aspect about coming back from break.

Let me explain…..

You get back to school and you are suddenly reminded of how much you hate going through the day in a monotonous schedule. Not to mention you probably aren’t in the best mood either because of all the “eggnog” you drank over the holidays. One of the worst things about coming back from vacation is getting mercilessly bombarded with the same question every class you go to. Ones like… “How was your vacation?” and “what you get for Christmas?”

Let’s be honest, it’s not that these questions are offensive, but when they are asked in every single class and by everyone you meet it can get a bit tiresome. Not to mention that few people actually care about what you did or have the attention span to even listen to you ramble.

To be fair it’s not all bad because it’s not hard to get back in the swing of things and February vacation is only 47 days away…
