Public Safety Firetruck
On Friday May 8, Public Safety I had the chance to train on a 95’ tower truck (sometimes known as a “hook and ladder”). The tower / ladder is the tool box of the fire service – carrying every tool necessary to help on a fire scene. A ladder company has the primary mission of search and ventilation in a fire. Students got to climb the tower to the bucket at the top and back down. Mr. Seymour even joined in and then raised the tower to 95’ in the air!

This was really fun to do. I’ve done it quite a few times now.

Bringing in the trucks for the students to see and go on was a lot of fun and a great hands on learning!
