Public Safety Pics from Firehouse Friday
Public Safety I students have had the opportunity to hold class at West Newbury Fire Headquarters each Friday over the last three weeks. Students have learned and practiced a variety of firefighting skills including – proper personal protective equipment donning and doffing procedures, experienced what it is like to be trapped in a room when a ceiling collapses, and practiced using an SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus). As you can see they had a great time doing it.

Public safety seems like a lot of fun and cool real-life experiences. The students in this class seem to be going on cool field trips and to presentations all the time. I hope to take this course before I graduate!
