Season 34 was one of the best seasons with very talented stars. The season finale consisted of stars Alex Earl, Robert Erwin, Dylan Efrom, Jordan Chiles, and Elaine Hendrix in the top 5.
Spoiler! Robert wins and Alex is the runner up, but it was one of the hardest fights for the mirrorball trophy.
Dancing with the stars is a reality TV show about getting better at dancing from starting with no prior knowledge. The stars are assigned to one of the show’s professional dancers who teaches them the style and precision of each dance style. These stars learn styles such as the slow and graceful foxtrot to the lively and fast jive.
The goal is to not get eliminated by the judges and viewer votes, and win the Dancing with the Stars mirrorball trophy.
All over social media people are saying it was set up putting Robert and Alex in the same season.
Sophomore Maisie Costello says, “I think it could’ve gone both ways and I’m happy for Robert but I also would’ve been happy for Alex.”
Some argue that Alex Earl should’ve won because of her dedication and her improvement in her performance and overall confidence; however, others say Robert should’ve won because he started out with less experience and improved just as much as the weeks went on.
Alex Earl-
Starting with Alex, she is a social media influencer with millions of followers. She was partnered with Val Chmerkovskiy, a 3 time mirror ball champion.
Alex Earl was undeniably good and got a perfect score in week 7 with a Tango. She continuously showed her improvement each week to the point where she looked like the pro herself.
“Throughout the season she has shown so much improvement and was consistent on following the judges critiques and fixing them.” says Pentucket sophomore Zoey Cenami. “She also brought so much energy and passion to each of her dances.”
Robert Irwin-

Robert is an Australian wildlife conservationist who was partnered with Witney Carson. He never stopped getting better from the first week to the last.
One of Robert’s biggest breakthrough moments was when he performed his dance with his mom on dedication night after overcoming an injury in rehearsal. Robert got the first perfect score of season 34 during the 20th-anniversary episode.
“I think that Robert should’ve won because he worked really hard all season and he was very good at performing, and being in character in all of his dances and he was also just very fun to watch” said Senior Lucy Cavallini.
Other mentions-

Other than Robert and the runner up Alex, the others in the top 5 were super good contenders with memorable routines.
Jordan Chiles performed her freestyle to “Bow Down” in the finale. Ezra picked this for her because it showcased her fun and performative personality and was such an entertaining dance for the finale.
One of Dylan Efron’s best dances was week 9 when he and his partner Daniela did a lift in the beginning of their dance that went viral on social media.
Elaine Hendrix also had an amazing finale dance. Her freestyle dance told a story through her dancing and acting. It left a smile on all the faces who watched because of how much fun she was having.
So, who do you think should’ve won season 34?
