On May 26, our Pentucket athletic director Dan Thornton tweeted, “Did you know that every single Pentucket team has qualified for the playoffs this spring?” To those who didn’t know, this fact is actually true!

Every spring sport at Pentucket is playing in the state tournament after their regular season games end!

The Pentucket boys Lacrosse team power housed their way to the tournament with a 13-3 record earning the #2 seed in the playoffs getting a bye-round. The lax bros are expected to play Bishop Fenwick on Wednesday, June 3. Pentucket seniors Jeff Porter, Brendan Sullivan, Brayden Carney, Josh Wesolowski, Ryan Beaton, Connor Beaton, and Junior Nick Arcadapane led the team this year; four of them (Brayden Carney, Jeff Porter, Josh Wesolowski, and Nick Arcadapane) all were named Cape Ann League All Stars.

The girl’s lacrosse team earned the #7 seed in the tournament and will play Melrose in the first round. If they win they will then play Marblehead in the second round. The girls had a strong season finishing 7-5-1. Sarah Wiles, Olivia Kemper, Ana Maura Cook, Erin Mikson, Jess Lusty, and Sam Fiore all had a significant season for the girls.

The boy’s Baseball team finished off their season with a 10-10 record barely making the state tournament with the #18 seed.  It’s been a hot-and-cold season for this team, but if they are going to put it all together, there’s no better time than now.

The Softball team got the #9 seed and finished their regular season with a record of 12-8. The girl’s had a good season thanks to the strong leadership of their captains’ senior Maddy Ammon, senior Tyler Feeney, and junior Maddie Binding.

The boy’s tennis team had an excellent season winning the Cape Ann League Kinney Championship. The Sachems are 8-0 in the CAL (10-4 in total) and won the league outright for the first time since 2011.
