In June, the first trailer for “A Star is Born” was released. The movie, released last October, starred Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga as the leads; Cooper also directed the movie. Their characters’ names are Jackson Maine and Ally. At the start of the movie, Jackson is a famous rock/country singer, while Ally is an insecure musician who works as a waitress and sings at a drag bar. Jackson Maine is a struggling alcoholic, while Ally writes music, but doesn’t sing the music that she writes. On Jan. 7, the most popular song from “A Star is Born,” “Shallow,” won a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.

As implied by promotional material, the duo meets at the beginning of the movie. The rest of the movie follows their love story as Jackson struggles with addiction, and Ally rises as a star. Other cast members include Dave Chapelle, Andrew Dice Clay, and Sam Elliott.

“A Star is Born” remained in theaters for more than two months after it’s Oct. 5 release in Dolby Cinema and the standard format. According to Box Office Mojo, “A Star is Born” made $42,908,051 during the opening weekend, and has grossed $202,172,316 overall since the release date. In December, the movie played in IMAX for a week, with a featurette called The Road to Stardom showing after the credits. On Jan. 11, “A Star is Born” was re-released in Dolby Cinema for one week with another featurette playing after the credits, this one being known as “The Director’s Vision.”

On Feb. 19, “A Star is Born” will be released on Blu-ray and DVD. Below is a gallery of all the different covers available from different retailers as options for the Blu-ray release.
