There are a lot of conspiracy theories suggesting we haven’t landed on the moon. This makes people question the truth; if we have or haven’t stepped foot on the moon.
Questions around the moon landing came out during the Cold War era because of the distrust from the government. Along with this the lack of scientific understanding has caused… As of recently, social media helps spread conspiracy theories.
Both sides pose good arguments, and there’s evidence we have been to the moon. Yet on the contrary there are many theories and evidence that we haven’t gone to the moon.
American astronauts left their families and went to the moon and when they came back they had evidence to prove that they had gone there. They brought back moon rocks, photos, and soil.
In the 1960’s the U.S. and other countries were in a race to space to be the first country to land on the moon. To this day we are still the only country that has been to the moon.
One theory that makes people question if we have gone there is that the flag was waving in the photo. There is no air in space, so how could it be waving?
It is believed the reality is the flag had a horizontal rod through the top to make it stick out. The “ripples” that make it appear to be waving are because the flag was crumpled and was not fully extended, so in reality it only moves while the astronauts are manipulating it.
Another theory is that there are no stars in the photos. Researchers say that this is because all landings were during the “lunar daytime,” when the sun shines brightly, creating a highly reflective surface. The cameras were set for fast daylight exposure, which cannot capture faint stars.

People have also said the shadows are weird, and they didn’t look right. Which people claim means there were studio lights.
Others say the reality is that shadows on the moon are not parallel because of the uneven, dusty topography, and the fact that the sun is the only light source which causes shadows to scatter.
A lot of questions remain about the moon landing. The only way to decipher is if I can fly to the moon myself.
